Started in October 2015 by Professors Rich Lenoce and John Shafer, the Middlesex Community College Radio Club will serve the students and local community with music and news.
We are slated to go live with our web broadcast in the later half of January 2016 and hope to broadcast over the airwaves later in the Spring, after receiving the needed funds for an antenna.
The purpose of the MxCC Radio Club is to provide the student body with the opportunity to create different kinds of radio content from local music to local news that pertains to the community and learn about the hands on skills and techniques that apply to maintaining a college radio station. The MxCC Radio Club will greatly benefit students who wish to pursue a career in broadcasting by allowing them to develop practical skills necessary for running a radio station or organizing any kind of production. We also want the radio club to be an opportunity for bringing our community together with music, news, and discussions that come straight from our towns and cities.
